Psalm 72:12-13: “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper. He will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy.” The Lord instructs us to help the poor and needy who have no helper. By the mercy & grace of the Lord we have begun the following ministries to help the poor and needy who have no helper. Come join us! Be the hands and feet of Jesus in our city..
We have 4 ministries to help meet these needs:
1. Food Ministry:
Matthew 25:35-40: For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink…”
When our community hurts, we act. Before, during, and after the global pandemic, during the recent flooding as well as in other disasters this ministry mobilized to prepare and distribute thousands of food packs along with the love of Jesus’ to families facing crisis. Today, our food ministry continues to provide for the needy on a regular basis and in times of flooding or other disaster. Come and join us!
2. Language & Faith School:
Deuteronomy 6:6-7: “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…” Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
This ministry is an educational program providing English lessons in proper biblical context for children aged 6-12 who have no other options for education. Come and join us for classes! We need teachers.
3. Adult Diaper Drive:
Matthew 25:36: “…I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me…”
This ministry partners with Patong hospital to provide adult diapers to people who cannot provide for their own needs. Once a month we purchase diapers in bulk and take them to the hospital. We have fellowship and prayer then deliver the diapers. Then we have prayer for the sick and injured. Come join us for the fellowship and fun!
4. Cremation Help for Families in need:
Genesis 23:3-4: Then Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying, “I am a foreigner and a visitor among you; give me property for a burial place among you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.” Abraham’s careful purchase of a burial place for Sarah shows honor and respect for the dead and it demonstrates faith and proper regard for loved ones.
This ministry also partners with Patong hospital to provide help with cremation services for those who cannot provide for their loved one’s final disposition of mortal remains.
