At MV Patong Phuket Church, we believe that true leadership is rooted in servanthood.
Our church is guided by leaders who have dedicated their lives to teaching the uncompromised Word of God, nurturing a diverse congregation, and showing the love of Christ through tangible acts of compassion in our community.
A Shared Mission of Compassion
Pastor Aland and P’Sunee do not just lead on Sunday mornings; their entire lives are devoted to serving Phuket. They believe that faith must be followed by action.
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck the region, leaving many without resources, Pastor Aland and P’Sunee stepped out in faith. Before, during, and after the pandemic, they mobilized the church to prepare and distribute thousands of food packs to those in severe need.
Their compassion also extends deeply to the next generation. Seeing the struggles of the local Burmese and Mon ethnic communities, they established an educational program providing free English and general education courses for disadvantaged children. Through these daily efforts—feeding the hungry and educating the youth—they continuously find new ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Originally from Malaysia, Pastor Aland Tan has dedicated his life to shepherd the diverse, multi-national family at MV Patong Phuket Church. He is a steadfast believer in the ultimate authority of Scripture and the importance of sound doctrine in a rapidly changing world.
Pastor Aland’s preaching style is highly intentional: he teaches the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter . This expository method ensures that the congregation doesn’t just hear motivational words, but digs deeply into the rich, timeless truths of the Gospel. His heart is to see believers grow in deep, abiding faith, and to present the transformative message of Jesus Christ to those who do not yet know Him. Whether you are a lifelong believer or a curious seeker, Pastor Aland’s approachable wisdom and dedication to the Word will make you feel right at home.
P’Sunee
Ministry Leader & Pastor’s Wife
A native of Thailand, P’Sunee is the warm and welcoming heart of our church family. She beautifully embodies the biblical gift of hospitality. Every week, she works tirelessly behind the scenes so that after Sunday service, the entire congregation can sit down together to share a delicious, freshly cooked meal that she prepared herself. This lunch ministry is a cornerstone of our church, turning a Sunday gathering into a true family fellowship.
P’Sunee works hand-in-hand with Pastor Aland, sharing his deep love for the church and the local people. Her vibrant spirit, radiant smile, and deeply nurturing character make everyone who walks through our doors feel instantly loved and accepted.
